Grants are available to UK registered charities for projects that fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities for those in need across the UK.

Objectives of Fund
The funding is intended for both national and local charities across the UK so that they can fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities specifically for those in need (by reason of financial hardship, sickness, disability or other disadvantage or distress) in the UK.
Value Notes
Last year, a total of £2 million was awarded to charities across the UK.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available.
Who Can Apply
Registered charities and not-for-profit organisations across the UK may apply for funding.
This includes the following not-for-profit organisations:
- Registered charities
- Community Benefit Society
- Cooperative Society
- Community Interest Company (CIC)
- Unincorporated Association
- Other types will need to provide an explanation in the online application form.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be helping those in need by reason of financial hardship, sickness, distress or other disadvantages in the UK.
- Be looking for funding to support projects that relate to the repair, maintenance, improvement or construction of homes, community buildings and other buildings.
Both national and local charities can apply.
Restrictions
The following are not eligible for funding:
- Individuals.
- Rent.
- Training of staff.
- IT equipment.
- Soft furnishings.
Eligible Expenditure
The funding is for capital type projects which relate to the repair, maintenance, improvement or construction of homes, community facilities and other buildings in deprived areas.
This can include repairing run-down buildings and decorating the homes of people living with illness and disability.
How To Apply

Applications can be made at any time.
In 2022, the Trustees will review applications in March, June, September and December.
The cut off date for applications is the 10th of the month prior to the trustee meeting, ie:
- 10 February
- 10 May
- 10 August
- 10 November
All successful applications will be contacted by post, email or phone to arrange the next step. Unsuccessful applicants will be contacted within one month of the review meeting.
Once the outcome has been received, applicants (either successful or unsuccessful) must wait 12 months to reapply for funding.
